  • Entry is open to Australian residents living in VIC, NSW, QLD, WA & SA who are licenced/registered plumbers.
  • If an entrant is under the age of 18, they must have the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Employees, officers, contractors and their immediate families of the Promoter or the Sponsor or their related bodies corporate, or of their agencies or contractors, and other persons associated with the competition are ineligible to enter.
  • Two Plumbfast events will be held in each of Queensland (QLD), New South Wales (NSW), Victoria (VIC), South Australia (SA) and Western Australia (WA) between May and July 2025. Each round held in one of these events is referred to as a Local round.
  • The Plumbfast State and National Finals will be held in Sydney, NSW on 13 October 2025.
  • Entrants must register by visiting www.avgplumbfast.com.au, completing the online registration form for Local round 1 or Local round 2 in their state, and providing their plumbers licence/registration number.
  • An entrant will bear their own costs in connection with participating this competition and the events, including, but not limited to, the costs of accessing the promotional website, travel expenses, any charges by third parties, unless otherwise expressly covered by the Promoter under these terms.
  • Multiple entries/registrations are not permitted.
  • Entrants may compete in only one (1) Local round event in 2025. An entrant who has participated Local round 1 will be disqualified from participating Local round 2. (QLD, NSW & VIC)
  • Only the 1st and 2nd placed competitors from each Local round in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA will be invited to attend the State and National Finals in Sydney.
  • Event registrations (entries) will be recorded from the AVG Plumbfast and Eventbrite websites for each Local Round event in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA.

Local Round 1 Prizes:

1st, 2nd and 3rd place from Local Round 1 in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA will receive the following prizes:

  • 1st place: $1,000 prepaid VISA card
  • 2nd place: $500 prepaid VISA card
  • 3rd place: $250 prepaid VISA card

 

Local Round 2 Prizes:

1st, 2nd and 3rd place from Local Round 2 in QLD, NSW & VIC  will receive the following prizes:

  • 1st place: $1,000 prepaid VISA card
  • 2nd place: $500 prepaid VISA card
  • 3rd place: $250 prepaid VISA card

Total Local Round 1 & Local Round 2 prize pool: $14,000

  • The 1st and 2nd place winners from each Local Round in each of QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA (up to 20 competitors) will be invited to compete in the State and National finals in Sydney in October 2025.

State Final Prizes:

  • The 1st and 2nd place winners from the Local Rounds of each state (4 in total for each state) will compete. The winner is the state final winner.  The state final winner from each of QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA will receive a $500 prepaid VISA card.
  • Total state final prize pool: $2,500

National Final Prize:

The five (5) state final winners will compete for the National Final Prize.  The 1st place winner will receive the prize below.

  • National Final Prize: $2,000 prepaid VISA card
  • Total national final prize pool: $2,000

Overall Competition Prize Pool:

  • Total Plumbfast prize pool: $18,500
  • The State & National Final in Sydney also includes travel and accommodation expenses for up to twenty (20) competitors.
  • The 1st and 2nd place winners from each Local Round in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA (up to 20 competitors) will be invited to compete in the State and National finals in Sydney in October 2025.
  • Travel and Accommodation includes:
  • Return flights to Sydney for competitors in QLD, VIC, SA & WA from the nearest capital city.
  • 2-Nights Accommodation at QT Sydney for competitors from QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA.
  • Transfers to and from the airport to the hotel.
  • Transfers from the hotel to the event dinner.
  • Transfers from the hotel to the State & National Final venue.
  • Celebration dinner at Rockpool Bar & Grill.
  • A jet boat ride on Sydney Harbour (optional).
  • All other expenses outside the above will be at the competitor’s own expense.
  • If a winner of a Local Round is unable to attend the State and National finals for any reason, they forfeit this prize including but not limited to flights, accommodation, meals, prizes, gifts etc. No cash alternative or transferring of prize elements will be provided for forfeited prizes or giveaways.
  • A place in the state and national final is non-transferable. If a contestant cannot attend or withdraws from the state and national final for any reason, their place will be forfeit and the Promoter may offer the place to 3rd place from the relevant Local Round only.
  • No cash alternative will be provided for forfeited flights, accommodation, meals, giveaways or event participation.
  • All prizes and giveaways must be taken as offered and are non-negotiable, non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, are not for resale and no cash alternative is available.
  • NSW local round winners are ineligible for flight compensation to Sydney.
  • The Promotor will nominate a panel of up to three (3) judges for each event and the judges will determine winners of the relevant competition based on the judging criteria below.
  • The competition is a game of skill.
  • The competition is judged based on the fastest time to correctly complete a Quickie Kit® installation while adhering to all competition rules.
  • Competition rules:

Installation

  • Competitors must only use the tools supplied for the competition.
  • All fittings must be tightened properly.
  • AVG ECV & PTR must be installed. Insulation must be applied to all relevant parts, including the use of zip ties.

Time Penalties

  • One False Start: 10 seconds for a restart.
  • Additional Copper: 10 seconds if additional copper is required.
  • Rough Work: 10 seconds for work deemed rough or messy.
  • Loose Connections: 10 seconds for loose copper olive connections.

Judging Criteria

  • Competitors will be judged based on:
  • Overall time taken to complete the challenge.
  • Neatness of the work.
  • Accuracy of work.
  • Each contestant has a maximum of 15 minutes to complete the installation.
  • Local Round Winners: Announced at each local round event.
  • State Final Winners: Announced at the state final on 13 October 2025.
  • National Final Winner: Announced at the national final on 13 October 2025.

Local round, state and national prize Winners' names will be published on the AVG Plumbfast website www.avgplumbfast.com.au and AVG Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/AVGAustralianValveGroup/ two (2) business days after the event date.

PART A - INTRODUCTION

  1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these terms and conditions.
  2. By participating, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  3. Entries must comply with these terms and conditions to be valid.
  4. Where there is an inconsistency between the schedule and these terms, the schedule prevails.

PART B - PRIVACY

  1. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information for:
    • Conducting the competition and related activities;
    • Promotional purposes and advertising;
    • Research to improve products and services.
  2. By entering, entrants consent to the use of their personal information as described for the purposes of this competition and the purposes outlined in paragraph 5 above and are taken to have agreed to the Promoter’s privacy policy.
  3. Entrants may access or update their information in by contacting the Promoter.

PART C - ELIGIBILITY

  1. Entrants must be over 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent.
  2. Employees, officers, contractors and their immediate families of the Promoter or the Sponsor or their related bodies corporate, or of their agencies or contractors, their immediate family members, and other persons associated with the competition are ineligible to enter.

PART D - HOW TO ENTER

  1. Entry requirements must be followed as per the competition schedule.
  2. Entries must not have been previously published or used to win other competitions.
  3. Entries cannot be modified after submission.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entrants' details and disqualify those who provide false information.
  5. Incomplete, offensive, or non-compliant entries will be disqualified.

PART E - PRIZES

  1. Prizes and giveaways are non-negotiable, non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, are not for resale or redeemable for cash.
  2. If a prize is unavailable, the Promoter may substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.
  3. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged prizes after dispatch.
  4. Any taxes applicable to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

PART F - JUDGING

  1. This competition is a game of skill; chance plays no role in determining the winners.
  2. Entries will be individually judged on merit based on the criteria.
  3. The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

GENERAL DISCLAIMER

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to discontinue the competition and any events at any time and at its sole discretion, may cancel, terminate, suspend or modify the competition. Any change to or cancellation of this competition, for whatever reason, is subject to all applicable laws.
  2. We have used our best efforts to ensure that all information provided is accurate; however, to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies accept no responsibility for:
    • the loss of, any damage to or delay in the transit of prize(s) due to incorrect or imprecise delivery or contact details provided by an entrant;
    • quality, suitability or merchantability of any of the goods or services offered as prizes
    • losses associated with any change to the value of any prize(s);
    • errors, inaccuracies, or misstatements take place during the competition;
    • loss suffered or sustained for personal injury or death or any loss suffered to personal property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangements for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the winner(s) and where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winner.
  3. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties relating to the competition and supersede all prior representations, agreements, statements and understandings, whether verbal or in writing.
  4. Any term herein that is either wholly or partly unenforceable will be severed to the extent necessary to make the remaining terms valid and enforceable.
